Milligan Libraries in conjunction with Phi Alpha Theta – Alpha Iota Tau Chapter and the Goah Scholars is hosting a Douglass Day event at Welshimer Library on February 14 from Noon to 3 PM. This event will be a come-and-go event to learn about and celebrate the life of Frederick Douglass, featuring virtual and in-person presentations. Additionally, University Archivist Katie Banks will assist participants who bring their laptops with contributing to the national crowd-sourcing project to transcribe Douglass’s letters at the Library of Congress. And of course, there will be food! Come join us in the Welshimer Room to celebrate the life of this influential American!
