Named for the fearsome hybrid creature from Greek mythology, “Chimera” showcases a unique collection of work by Milligan art and design faculty. Combining traditional and non-traditional media, this assemblage of artwork includes relief prints from linocuts and letterpress wood type created by graphic design professor Art Brown, as well as experimental photography collaborations with algorithmic A.I. by artist in residence and photography instructor Adam Trabold. The show also features mixed-media works incorporating watercolor, ink, and laser-pyrography by interactive media design professor Karahann Kiser. The opening reception will offer a musical performance that interacts with lighting featured in Kiser’s artwork.
The Gallery will be open from October 14 – 25.
