Jason Flack will provide the second lecture in Milligan’s Artist Lecture Series. After the sudden death of his twin sister, Jessica, in 2010, Flack turned to painting to channel his grief and to honor his sister. Flack is an urban folk and expressionist painter whose art features bold, colorful works that reflect his feelings, surroundings, and observations of society. A native of Johnson City, Flack is a beloved advocate for art in the Appalachian Highlands region, and he feels his paintings serve as a bridge between self-taught artists and academics.
