Snap-on, a tool manufacturing plant located in Elizabethton, Tennessee, has partnered with Milligan College to offer a series of free workshops to its employees and the broader community. These workshops are designed to provide helpful and supportive information on a variety of topics.
The second workshop, on Tuesday, Jan. 15, will address “College Planning.” Two sessions will be held. The first workshop will take place in Derthick Hall from 11-12:30 p.m. and lunch will be provided to registered attendees. An evening workshop will be offered from 6:30-8 p.m. in Hardin Hall. Both workshops are free and open to the public.
Dr. Lee Harrison, vice president for enrollment and marketing, will address best practices for preparing for college. The workshop is designed for parents and families of young high school students and aims to clarify the college process by focusing on tips for researching, applying and deciding on colleges. Harrison will also discuss the financial aid process and the significance of institutional aid and scholarship opportunities.
