Journalist David Blevins guest lecture (2SFP)

Celebrated journalist David Blevins, Ireland correspondent for Sky News, has witnessed the conflict in Northern Ireland first-hand and reported on its journey from war to peace. He left journalism to obtain a graduate degree in theology but came back to the news business, realizing it was his highest calling. He will speak about truth telling in the public square and why professionals of Christian (and other religious) conviction belong in newsrooms globally. He shows his TV coverage as part of the presentation and brings in explanations on Irish literature and lore with the theme of “Making Hope & History Rhyme.”
