Student takes home regional, national accolades for photography

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (February 21, 2018)—The good news just kept rolling in last week for Milligan College sophomore Amy Shumaker.

First, the Bristol, Tennessee, native found out she was a finalist in Photographer’s Forum magazine’s Best of College and High School Photography Contest, selected among the top 8 percent of thousands of entries.

Then, at the American Advertising Awards (ADDYs), held Saturday in Johnson City, Tennessee, Shumaker learned that her photography not only had received two “Silver” awards, but also earned one of two American Advertising Federation of Northeast Tennessee (AAF-NETN) student scholarships, worth $500 and a one-year AAF-NETN membership.
