Johnson City Symphony Orchestra To Perform Benefit Recital

The Johnson City Symphony Orchestra’s string quartet will be having a benefit recital at
St. John’s Episcopal Church (500 N. Roan St.) in Johnson City at 3 p.m. on September
17. The quartet is made up of the string principals in the orchestra – Helen Bryenton,
Violin; Joseph Driggars, Viola; Cherylonda Fitzgerald, Cello; Cynthia Mueller, Bass. The
program will include “Schubert’s Death and the Maiden,” Mozart’s “K. 157,” “the Lento” from
Dvorak’s American and some tangos. Admission is free, however, donations are greatly
appreciated. All proceeds are to benefit the Johnson City Symphony Orchestra.
