Missions Emphasis Week (Oct 10-15)


Missions Emphasis Week brings a host of special events and conversations designed to connect you with what God is doing in the world.  Multiple SFP opportunities throughout the week.

Monday: Movie Night – We’re showing two short films produced by CIY – Zambia’s Song and Tahiru and providing information about organizations to pray for around the world.  1SFP

Tuesday: Maryam and Marziyeh, authors of Captive in Iran, will speak for Convocation. Maryam and Marziyeh spent 259 days in Tehran’s worst prison for spreading the gospel in their native Iran.  They will share more of their story at an evening Q & A in Hyder Auditorium.  2SFP

Wednesday: Christian Missionary Fellowship (CMF) hosts a lunch for those interested in learning more about internship and short-term mission opportunities they provide. That evening, Casey Knapp, Tanner Cox, Bailey Bacchus, Noah Hickerson, and Emily Mark will share about their experience with short-term mission trips at a coffeehouse-style My 2 Words event.

Thursday: London-based singer-songwriter Serena Dalton joins us for Chapel.  At 7:00pm, joins us on the Commons to unite in prayer about what we’ve learned during the week. 1SFP

Saturday: Service project with LINC   Join with the residents of Pine Ridge Nursing Home in creating fleece blankets and cards for young patients at Niswonger Children’s Hospital.  Watch your campus email for signups – please note this event is at 1:00pm.
