The Music Man this weekend

Drum Roll Please…The Music Man Is Parading To East Tennessee, Nov. 15-24 In Dazzling Style
Regional mega-cast brings beloved musical to Gregory Center, Milligan College

Trinity Arts Center, with support from Wells Fargo Advisors, the West Market Chick-fil-A, Milligan College, and the Trinity Arts Foundation, invite members of our community to attend a two-weekend run of Meredith Wilson’s classic, The Music Man, November 15-24.  Performances of the family- favorite musical, made popular on the silver screen by Robert Preston and Shirley Jones, will feature a regional cast; professional, live orchestra; the pre-professional junior and senior dance companies at Trinity Arts Center; and a grand-finale surprise!

“From icons like Elvis and the Carter family to Country music itself, the world well knows what Tennessee can produce,” says long-time area producer Steve Davis, “and our corner of the state is rich in exceptional talent. We’re mining this talent and showcasing it for people to enjoy.”

Davis, and Director Annemarie Dugan, are no rookies when it comes to producing  large-scale musicals.  In recent years, the two have brought to area stages Fiddler on the Roof, The Sound of Music, Bristol Passion Play, Annie, and The Cotton Patch Gospel among others. “Our mission, alongside Trinity Arts Center and our other great sponsors, is to produce top quality, family-friendly shows akin to what you’ll see on Broadway,” says Davis.  Dugan interjects, “The Music Man” is a celebration of the strong American heartland spirit, and what triumphs can be realized when a community puts their heads and hearts together,” Dugan concludes. “We have experienced that exact phenomenon in producing this show—we can’t wait to deliver this artistic milestone to the community.”

Performances times are Nov. 15-24, with 7:00 performances on Friday and Saturday evenings and 2:00 performances on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Tickets are $20 with discounts available for senior or student groups. Reserve or purchase tickets online at or call (423) 926-6048.
