The Buffaloes will host the semifinal round on Thursday, Nov. 8, as they will host Virginia Intermont at 7 p.m.

In the second half, the Milligan defense continued to keep the Montreat offense at bay. Chris Ochieng (Nairobi, Kenya) scored his 15th goal of the season in the 65th minute with an assist from Tekle, and Tekle capped off the scoring in the 69th minute. From there, the Buffaloes continued to control to match to preserve the victory.

Defensively, Dan Ball (Chatham, England) recorded three saves.

“It is nice to get through a game clean and control the majority of it,” Head Coach Adam Laney said. “I felt like we did what we needed to do to move forward and that’s the name of the game of the tournament.”

With the win, Milligan improves to 11-6 overall.

The Buffaloes will host both semifinal matchups on Thursday, Nov. 8. Tennessee Wesleyan will square off against Bryan in the day’s opening matchup, and Milligan and Virginia Intermont are slated for a 7 p.m., start at Anglin Field.
