Dear members of the Milligan community:
With the weather turning colder, this is a good time for everyone to be reminded of the College’s inclement weather policy. You may review the College’s snow schedule policy online at http://www.milligan.edu/academics/calendar.html#snow . When bad weather threatens, all faculty, staff, and students should monitor weather conditions as well as the media outlets mentioned in our policy. On mornings when there will be a weather delay or cancellation, the College will typically notify media by 6:00 am but most certainly by 6:30 am. Unforeseen changes in weather conditions during the work day may necessitate later decisions on rare occasions. Notification will also occur on the College web home page, on the Milligan Today page, the outbound recording on the College switchboard, and via the College’s Rave text alert system. If you haven’t already signed up for the Rave notification system, now would be a good time to do so. You may sign up at https://www.getrave.com/login/milligan .
The primary consideration for the College in making weather-related scheduling changes will be the safety of faculty, staff, and students. So as we near the season for dicey weather, let’s be alert and safe!
